Open an Incognito Window

Why use an Incognito Window?

When browsing Incognito, Chrome doesn't save your browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms. Files you download and bookmarks you create are kept, but your browser won't cache the websites you visit.

Note that your activity isn’t hidden from websites you go to, your employer, or your internet service provider.

How to open an Incognito Window:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click the three dots
  3. Next, click "New Incognito Window"

Now you can browse in private!

You can also use a keyboard shortcut to open an Incognito window:

Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n.

Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n.
