Import Contacts

Today we're going to get you started with REALSTACK by showing you how to upload your contacts or accounts from a spreadsheet. 

Let's get started!

Uploading an Account or Contact File

1. Log into your REALSTACK account.
2. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner.
3. Click "Data Import."
4. Click "Import Data."
5. Here you have the option of uploading accounts or contacts.
6. Once you have chosen accounts or contacts click "Next."
7. Currently, REALSTACK accepts CSV files when importing your data. Therefore, be sure to save your files in a CSV format.
8. Click "Next."
9. Now if you're logged in as a Brokerage Admin, you now have the option to choose which users you want to upload contacts or accounts for. Choose which user you would like to upload contacts or accounts for from the drop-down menu.
10. Click "Next." 
    1. (Steps 8 and 9 do not apply to you if you are logged in as a Brokerage User.)
11. You now have the option to drag and drop your files in REALSTACK or open them through your browser.
    1. Note the option to "Include the first row in the values list." On most spreadsheets, each column will have a header located on the first row. If your spreadsheet does not have headers, you will want to include your first row.
12. After uploading your file, you should receive a "Congratulations!!!" message. Click "OK."
13. Click "Next."

Matching Column Headers with REALSTACK Fields

1. You should now be looking at a screen displaying your column headings matched with the actual fields within your REALSTACK account. If one of your headings is not mapped to the correct field, you can make adjustments using the drop-down menu next to "REALSTACK" field.
2. Click "Next."
3. Confirm that all of your source fields match your REALSTACK fields. Then click "Import!!!"
4. Click "Start Import."
5. Click "Import History."
6. If you look to the right side of the screen, you should see an action menu button. Click this button. Here you are given the option to undo any imports you made.

You're finished! You can now scroll to your contact or account pages to view your recently imported data.
